MOKA is a collective of seven visual artists founded in 2022. Its members are Senni Aleksandra, Timo Höyssä, Ilai Elias Lehto, Sanna Maria Paananen, Tero Ulvila, Sanna Saarreharju, and Liisa Tarleena Öhman.
The collective explores human error, failure, and everyday mishaps through personal experiences, feelings of shame, chance, and the artistic process itself. Failure can be an uncomfortable memory, but also the starting point for new discoveries and unexpected outcomes.
The members create their own artworks while collaborating closely on shared exhibitions and projects.
I have been part of MOKA since its founding. This page brings together my own works from the collective's exhibitions and projects.

MOKA on vuonna 2022 perustettu seitsemän kuvataiteilijan ryhmä, jonka muodostavat Senni Aleksandra, Timo Höyssä, Ilai Elias Lehto, Sanna Maria Paananen, Tero Ulvila, Sanna Saarreharju ja Liisa Tarleena Öhman.

MOKA Museum is a collaborative installation by the MOKA artist collective, presented as part of the Taidevaltakunta ’26 Biennial in the Finlayson area of Tampere, Finland.
The museum is based on anonymously donated stories of people's personal mistakes and mishaps. The artists have interpreted these stories through their own materials and artistic practices, transforming everyday blunders, embarrassing memories, and personal failures into works of art.
MOKA Museum is an exhibition within an exhibition — a place where failures that are usually kept hidden are brought into the open to be seen, explored, and shared. Together, these personal stories form a collective collection that makes room for shame, humour, and our shared humanity.
